How Kaha Create uses cookies

Last updated: February 2026

TL;DR (The Short Version)

  • We use cookies to keep you logged in and make videos work (essential).
  • We'd like to use analytics and marketing cookies to improve our platform and understand which organisations visit our website (your choice).
  • You control which cookies we can use.
  • No consumer advertising or personal tracking.

Section 1: What Are Cookies?

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use them.

Think of cookies like a library card—they help us recognize you when you come back and remember your preferences.

Types of cookies:
  • Temporary: Disappear when you close your browser
  • Persistent: Stay on your device until they expire

We'll explain exactly what we use them for below.

Section 2: What We Use Cookies For

How Kaha Create uses cookies

We use cookies for essential functions and optional improvements. Some are required for the platform to work, others help us make it better.

2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)

Essential Cookies - Always Active

These cookies are necessary for Kaha Create to work. You cannot disable them because core features won't function without them.

Secure Login & Authentication

What it does: Keeps you logged into your account as you navigate.

How long: Until you log out or close your browser.

Why it's essential: Without this, you'd be logged out every time you click a link.

Protected Video Access

What it does: Confirms you have permission to watch specific videos.

How long: 24 hours.

Why it's essential: Without this, anyone could access protected content or you wouldn't be able to watch videos at all.

Support Chat

What it does: Maintains your support conversation across page reloads.

How long: Until you close your browser.

Why it's essential: Without this, you'd lose your conversation history every time you navigate.

Your Cookie Choices

What it does: Remembers whether you accepted analytics cookies.

How long: 1 year.

Why it's essential: Without this, we'd ask for cookie consent every time you visit.

Can I disable essential cookies?

No - they're required for: ✓ Logging in ✓ Watching videos ✓ Using support chat ✓ Basic platform functionality.

Without them, Kaha Create won't work.

▶ Why are video cookies necessary?

We use CloudFront (Amazon's video delivery service) to stream videos securely. These cookies prove you have permission to watch specific content. Without them, anyone could access protected videos. Think of them like a ticket stub—they show you're allowed to be there.

▶ Why are support cookies necessary?

The support widget (Gleap) uses cookies to remember your conversation history and maintain your session when you ask for help. Without these, you'd have to restart your support conversation every time you reload the page.

2.2 Analytics & Marketing Cookies (Optional)

Analytics & Marketing Cookies - Your Choice

These cookies help us understand how people use Kaha Create and identify organisations that might benefit from our services. Individual user data is anonymised—we never track you personally.

Current status: Enabled ✓ | Disabled ✗

Platform Usage (Google Analytics)

  • Which features are most popular
  • Where people get stuck or confused
  • What device types people use (mobile, desktop)
  • How long features take to load

Visitor Intelligence (Apollo)

  • Which organisations visit our website
  • What pages and content they view
  • General company information (industry, size, location)
  • Engagement patterns over time

What We DON'T Learn

  • Individual employee names or personal details
  • Your email address (unless you provide it)
  • Personal information about you
  • Anything that identifies you as an individual

Providers:

  • Google Analytics (platform usage)
  • Apollo.io (visitor intelligence for B2B marketing)

Your Privacy is Protected

Google Analytics: ✓ Your IP address is anonymised ✓ We can't identify you personally ✓ Data never sold to third parties

Learn more:

▶ Why analytics and marketing cookies are optional

Unlike essential cookies that make the platform work, analytics and marketing cookies help us improve and grow Kaha Create. You can use the platform perfectly fine without them.

  • Google Analytics helps us prioritise which features to build
  • Apollo helps us understand which organisations might benefit from Kaha Create so we can reach out appropriately

We respect your choice either way.

▶ What is visitor intelligence?

Apollo helps us identify which companies (not individuals) visit our website. This is common in B2B software and helps us:

  • Understand which industries are interested in Kaha Create
  • Reach out to organisations that might benefit from our platform
  • Provide relevant information to companies exploring our services

Important: This tracks organisations, not individuals. We don't know who you are personally unless you fill out a form or contact us.

▶ How to disable analytics and marketing cookies

You can disable these cookies three ways:

  1. Via Kaha Create Settings: Settings > Privacy > Cookie Preferences > Toggle off Analytics & Marketing
  2. Via Cookie Settings page: Click "Cookie Settings" in footer > Toggle off Analytics & Marketing
  3. Individual opt-outs: Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout • Apollo: https://apollo.io/privacy-policy/remove

Section 3: Third-Party Services

Services we work with

We use trusted third-party services that set cookies or use browser storage. Here's who we work with and why:

Google Analytics

Purpose: Help us understand platform usage and improve features

What they do:

  • Track anonymised visitor patterns
  • Measure feature popularity
  • Monitor page load speeds

Data location: Global (Google's infrastructure)

Your control: Can be disabled via Cookie Settings

Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Apollo (Visitor Intelligence)

Purpose: Identify organisations visiting our website for B2B sales and marketing

What they do:

  • Identify which companies visit our website (by IP address)
  • Track what pages and content they view
  • Provide company information (industry, size, location)
  • Monitor engagement patterns over time

What they collect:

  • IP address (to identify organisation)
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Device and browser information
  • Referral source
  • General company data (publicly available)

What they DON'T collect:

  • Personal names or email addresses (unless you provide them)
  • Individual employee identification
  • Personal browsing history outside our website

Data location: United States

Your control: Can be disabled via Cookie Settings

Privacy: Apollo is a registered data broker and complies with GDPR, CCPA, and Privacy Act 2020

Privacy policy: apollo.io/privacy-policy Opt-out: apollo.io/privacy-policy/remove

Important Note:

Apollo tracks organisation-level activity, not individuals. If you work for a company and visit our website from a work computer, Apollo may identify your organisation (e.g., "Someone from Acme Corp visited our pricing page"), but not you personally. This is standard practice in B2B software and helps us understand which types of organisations are interested in Kaha Create.

AWS CloudFront

Purpose: Deliver videos securely and quickly

What they do:

  • Verify you have permission to watch videos
  • Stream videos efficiently
  • Protect against unauthorised access

Your control: Essential for support - cannot be disabled

Privacy: GDPR-compliant with Data Processing Agreement in place

Privacy policy: gleap.io/privacy-policy

Stripe

Purpose: Process payments securely

What they do:

  • Handle subscription payments
  • Manage billing information
  • Process transactions securely

Note: Stripe processes payments but doesn't set cookies on Kaha Create

Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy

Section 4: What We DON'T Use

What we don't do

We believe in transparency, so here's what we explicitly do NOT do:

Cross-site tracking for advertising We don't follow you around the internet to show you ads

Third-party marketing cookies for consumer advertising We don't sell your data to consumer marketers

Behavioural profiling We don't build profiles to target you with ads

Your privacy matters to us. If we ever need to use additional cookies, we'll ask for your permission first.

Section 5: Browser Storage (localStorage)

What about browser storage?

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage—a similar technology that stores data locally on your device.

What is localStorage?

It's like cookies, but:

  • Data stays on your device only
  • Not sent to servers automatically
  • Persists when you close your browser
  • Separate from cookie preferences

What we use it for:

Support Chat:

  • Remember who you are across sessions
  • Keep your conversation history available
  • Maintain your support session details

Duration: Until you manually clear it or delete your browser data

Why we need it:

Without localStorage, you'd lose your support conversation history every time you close your browser.

How to clear it:

  1. Open browser Developer Tools (F12)
  2. Go to "Application" or "Storage" tab
  3. Find "Local Storage"
  4. Select kahacreate.com
  5. Delete the items you want

Note: This will reset your support widget session.
